On 10th March Riverside Methodist was privileged to have the President of the Methodist Conference Rev Dr Mark Wakelin join us for a special Circuit Service. A very enjoyable evening was had by all. On Tuesday 22nd January 2013 members of Rattray Parish Church and Riverside Methodist Church hosted the "Week of Prayer forChristian Unity". We were amazed when 24 people attended as there was a lot of snow. The short service was followed by a soup lunch- these lunches were held from Monday 21st to Friday 25th January. Each day was led by representatives from each of the other member churches of EPACTS. Toy Sale October 2012- recently the church held a toy sale to help raise funds for the building fund. A fun and successful day was had by all.

Our 125th Celebration August 2012 Recently, the Lyric Choir held a concert to help raise money for the Building Fund. The sum of around £440 was raised, and a most enjoyable evening was had by all.

Recently, Riverside Methodist Church held a Table Top Sale and gift day as part of a Gift weekend to help raise money for our building fund for roof repairs and dry rot treatment.
As part of the celebration of the 400th Anniversary of the King James Bible, the Methodist Church involved all its congregations in Britain to handwrite the whole of the Bible. Each church had its own particular portion to be written at a time and place of its choosing and to involve as many people as possible. Riverside's text was 2 Timothy Chapter 3 verses 1--17. The completed work of approximately 8000 sheets will be presented at the next Methodist Conference to be held in Southport in July and then to be hard bound in a number of volumes . Our Church undertook this project during a Coffee Morning on Saturday May 14th from 11.00-12.00 noon. Above you will see a collection of the people involved. Last Christmas, 2010, Riverside Methodist Church held a Christmas Entertainment evening with many different acts, including some music performed by Blair Bells,and also by pupils from Rattray Primary School.
